Ganquanbao New Water Source Project - Phase II Water Plant

The Ganquanbao New Water Source Project - Phase II Water Plant is a major municipal water supply project in Urumqi, Xinjiang. Located near the northwest area of the “500” Reservoir at approximately 468 m above sea level, it uses reservoir raw water and serves Ganquanbao New District, Midong District, the Airport Area, Kaziwan District and reserved development areas. Total designed capacity is 600,000 m³/day.

The three-phase project covers raw water intake and transmission, water plant construction, clean water transmission, booster stations and urban mains. DN500-DN2200 pipelines total approximately 228 km. Phase I includes the 400,000 m³/day Ganquanbao Industrial Park Phase II Water Plant and approximately 155.7 km of pipelines; Phase II includes emergency water supply and approximately 67.6 km of DN700-DN1400 pipelines; Phase III adds 200,000 m³/day and supporting DN1200 pipelines.
